Teacher: Pat Harbison
Carmine Caruso was a famous and legendarily effective New York based music teacher in the 20th century. His pedagogy is frequently misunderstood and misapplied. Harbison studied with Caruso in his New York City studio for three years in the late 1970s and credits him with saving his fledgling career. Caruso taught all instruments, but specialized in brass. The class will be open to all instrumentalists, but will focus mostly on how he taught brass.
