Thiago Camargo is a Brazilian pianist that has lived in Cincinnati since 2015. During his early teens, he studied classical piano and Brazilian Popular Music at the Conservatorio de Tatui, and later he attended the State University of Campinas, Brazil. Still, in Brazil, he got interested in jazz music, what brought him to Cincinnati to pursue a Masters in Jazz Performance at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
Thiago is very involved in the music scene in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and since 2015 he has been active in the Midwest playing and teaching in a variety of styles, like Brazilian music, Latin jazz, American jazz, pop, and funky music. As a sideman, he has collaborated with many local musicians. And as a leader, Thiago has played and recorded with his Brazilian Jazz Trio, the Braza Trio.
